Ray Asberry, 49, of Anderson, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, April 10, 2015. He was born June 10, 1965 in New Castle, Indiana the son of Harlan Asberry of New Castle and Mary Sprouse of Richmond, Indiana.
Ray moved to Anderson, where he was the sole proprietor of a locally established swimming pool installation and repair business. He enjoyed playing pool and was in numerous tournaments throughout Central Indiana. Ray was also a collector and researcher of Indian artifacts and enjoyed fishing in his leisure time.
Survivors include a son, Daniel “Danny” Asberry of Indianapolis; a daughter, Ariana “Ari” Asberry of Anderson, three brothers, Bryan (Tammy) Asberry of Dadeville, AL, Bob Asberry and Caleb Asberry both of New Castle; three sisters, Haley Asberry of Indianapolis, Stacie (Dustin) Shepler of Greenfield and Jackie (Chris) Price of Greenfield; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins as well as his longtime companion, Sandy Riddle of Anderson.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Tony David Asberry; grandparents, Harlan and Inez Asberry and Porter and Eula Gutherie.
Services will be at 6:00 p.m. Friday, April 17, 2015 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle. Friends may call from 4-6 p.m. at the funeral home.
