Rebecca (Becca) June Carter, 21, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away in the early morning on April 1, 2026.
Becca was born on May 9, 2004, in Indianapolis and resided on the west side of town. She brought light and energy into the all who knew her. She will be remembered for her tenacious spirit and fun-loving personality.
Becca was blessed with many friends and strong bonds in her life. She also had a deep love for animals. Whether caring for her kitties or stopping to admire the other pets, she found comfort and happiness in their presence.
Becca worked as a server in restaurants since she was 15. Most recently, she worked at Waffle House in Avon, Indiana, where she formed connections with coworkers and customers alike, brightening many days with her sense of humor and sweet laugh.
Becca is preceded in death by her custodial grandmother, Katrina Miller (Nana), and great-grandparents Hazel June (Mamoo) and Thomas (Papoo) Saylor Jr. She is survived by her beloved brother, Dylan McGlothlin, with whom she shared a close bond, her biological mother, Jamie Carter, her father, David Carter, and siblings Heather Carter, Joshua Carter, Breanna Carter, Lilian Carter, Joseph Carter, Kayla Lomas, and Matthew Lomas. Her relationships were part of the story of her short life, and she carried those connections with her in her own way.
Her passing is a heartbreaking reminder of a life cut far too short. Though her time here was brief, her life was one of promise and possibility, and the memories she created will remain with all of those who loved her. Becca will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in Knightstown. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Humane Society of Greater Indianapolis here. You may express condolences or share a memory of Becca at www.hinsey-brown.com.
