Rex David Livingston, 61, of Knightstown passed away Thursday, January 8, 2009 at St.Vincent Heart Center in Indianapolis. He was born November 11, 1947 in New Castle, a son of the late Charles and Genevieve (Smith) Livingston.
A 1966 graduate of Spiceland High School, he was presently employed at Allegheny Ludlum in New Castle. A veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, he served during the Vietnam Era. He was a member of the American Legion Post #152. He enjoyed vacationing with his family and was an avid fan of Knightstown Athletics.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, whom he married March 3, 1972, Darlene Livingston of Knightstown, three children, Carrie Ferree of Ladoga, Julie Livingston (fiance, Clyde Maxwell) of Rushville, and Kevin Livingston of Tipton; three grandchildren, Jessup, Emma, and Collin Ferree, all of Ladoga; a brother, Roy Duane (wife, Wendy) Livingston of Battleground; a sister, Lois Ann Livingston of San Jose, CA; his in laws, James and Carolee Speer of Charlottesville, several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, paternal grandparents, Roy and Bertie Livingston, maternal grandparents, Charles and Gertrude Smith and a nephew, Shawn Livingston.
Services will be at 7:00 p.m. Sunday, January 11, 2009 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel with the Reverend Dr. James Carcia officiating. Friends may call from 3-7 p.m. Sunday prior to services at the funeral home.
