Robert “Bob” H. Cook, 87, of New Castle passed away early Monday, April 11, 2022 at his residence. He was born June 14, 1934 in Kennard, Indiana, a son of the late Joel Franklin and Katherine (Cooper) Cook.
A longtime farmer, Bob drove a school bus for New Castle Schools for 43 years. He was formerly employed at Allison Corporation in Indianapolis and Parinite Corporation in Jonesboro, Indiana. Bob was a member, former board member, and former Sunday School teacher at First Church of the Nazarene. He was a member of Indiana Farm Bureau Incorporated and AMPI Dairy Co-op, where he served as a delegate for many years. He also served on the board of the 4-H Association. Bob was an avid reader and most enjoyed the annual summer trips to Gatlinburg.
Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Doris (Bradford) Cook; three children, Regina (Charles) Fuller, Ramona (Brad) Hacker and Royce (Dara) Cook, all of New Castle; grandchildren, Craig (Rebecca) Fuller of Rensselaer, Kreigh (Megan) Cook of New Castle, Carissa Fuller of New Castle, Sidney (Andrew) Hall of Monroe, Ohio, and Elese (Brad) Bales of Lewisville; great grandchildren, Mason, Maddox, & Caroline Fuller, Cooper Cook, Hadley Hall and Judah Bales; brothers, Ralph (Judy) Cook of Indianapolis and Rex (Cheryl) Cook of Lebanon; sister, Marilyn (Ervin) Street of Noblesville; and several nieces & nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Barbara Tewmey and Marjorie Davis.
Services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 14, 2022 at First Church of the Nazarene in New Castle with Rev. Perry Cook officiating. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery, West Lawn Addition. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle.
