It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Robert "Bob" Giddings on November 12, 2025. Bob, born January 24, 1950, was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who touched countless lives with his caring, ornery, and funny personality. Known for his strong faith and role as a wonderful husband and father, Bob's jovial presence will forever be missed.
Bob leaves behind an enduring legacy in his loving family. He is survived by his beloved wife, Kathleen Giddings to whom he married in 1969. The pair formed a bond that was touching in it's strength and devotion, providing the foundation for their beautiful family. They spent many many wonderful years together, laughing and enjoying every second together. His sense of humor and big heart will be deeply missed by his children, Wendy Harrington and Shannon Giddings, and his son-in-law, Kent Harrington. Bob was also a beloved grandfather and great- grandfather to Kathleen Severs (Jonathan), Kenlie Harrington, Kyler Harrington, Eleanor Severs, Shelby Severs and Colin Severs. His grandchildren were often the lucky recipients of his wonderful storytelling - tales filled with wisdom, humor, and the occasional touch of his ornery nature. He deeply loved each grandchild, and his legacy will continue to live on through them. Especially Jonathan, who he spent most of his time with talking for hours and hours about tractors, cars, fishing and everything in between. It was well known how strong their bond was.
One of Bob's passions was the great outdoors, particularly fishing and in the past, deer hunting as well as small game hunting. He also had a fondness for collecting classic International/Farmall tractors and rifles, indicative of his appreciation for history and craftsmanship. His love for cruising in his 1969 Chevelle was well-known - his face always lit up behind the wheel, showcasing his enduring spirit of youth and adventure. Bob's caring nature, faith, and wonderful sense of humor have left an indelible mark on us all. He will be remembered not just for the love he had for his family, but also for the joy and laughter he brought into our lives. It is with heavy hearts that we bid farewell to Bob, a truly remarkable man and soul. He may have left this world, but his spirit and legacy will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
