Robert "Bob" Joe Taylor

Robert “Bob” Joe Taylor, 92, of Muncie passed away peacefully at his home on Tuesday, April 14, 2026. Bob was born on October 27, 1933, in Pine Knot, Kentucky, a son of the late Wit and Rhoda (Lee) Taylor.

A man known for his kind heart and uplifting spirit, Bob was always friendly, quick to smile, and carried a positive, easygoing attitude that made him a joy to be around. He was a graduate of Pine Knot High School.

On July 1, 1960, Bob married the love of his life, Ruby (Foster) Taylor. She preceded him in death in 2024. Their 64-year marriage was a testament to love, commitment, and partnership.

Bob spent his working years as a dedicated milkman and truck driver. Outside of work, he truly enjoyed life’s simple pleasures. He loved camping and was an avid NASCAR fan, often traveling with his camper to races in Bristol, Tennessee, and Daytona Beach, Florida. He was also an animal lover, a talented “fix-it” man, and took great pride in working in his yard.

Bob is survived by his brother-in-law, Wayne (Maria) Foster of Springport, IN; special niece and nephew, Donna Woodford of Stearns, KY and Scott Taylor of Shirley, IN; numerous more nieces, nephews and cousins; special friends, Alfred Vanbuskirk of Lawrence, IN, Paula Simmons and Melanie Beall both of Muncie.

In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby (Foster) Taylor; siblings, Betty Brewer, Shirley Ethel Crabtree, Billy Taylor and Alfred Taylor.

Services will be held at 12:00pm Saturday, April 18, 2026 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle. Visitation will be from 10:00am until the time of service on Saturday.
