Robert M. "Bob" Brumfiel

Robert M. “Bob” Brumfiel, 71, of Muncie, passed away Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at IU Ball Memorial Hospital. He was born June 7, 1945 in New Castle, a son of the late Robert and Rose (Sampley) Brumfiel.
A 1963 graduate of Walter P. Chrysler High School, Bob served in the U.S. Army, where he was stationed in Germany. He retired from Borg-Warner in Muncie following over 40 years of service. He enjoyed fishing and golfing.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, whom he married July 25, 1971, Patsy D. Brumfiel of Muncie; two sons, Chris (Mindy) Brumfiel of Baltimore, MD, and their children, Chase and Abbey; and Brad Brumfiel (Trena Collier) of Carmel; a sister, Beverly Frost of Orlando, FL; two brothers, Bill (Barbara) Brumfiel of New Castle and Kevin Brumfiel of Virginia Beach, VA; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Monday, January 9, 2017 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle. Cremation will follow. Burial will be at South Mound Cemetery, West Lawn Addition at a later date. Memorial contributions may be given to the P.O.W. Foundation, 7407 LeGrande St. South, Jacksonville, FL 32244.
