Robin L. “Rob” Wisehart, 69, of New Castle passed away on Friday, May 8, 2026. He was born on August 30, 1956, in New Castle to the late Luther and Marcia (Harwood) Wisehart.

Rob was a 1975 graduate of Knightstown High School, where he lettered in Chess and won the state Chess Championship. He worked in maintenance at StarCraft and then at Firestone before going to work at Intat in Rushville and retired after 30 years of service. Rob enjoyed working with his hands fixing things. He loved being a collector of guns, cars and Hot wheels. He and Jama loved working together fixing up and decorating their house.

He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Wisehart; stepdaughter, Michaela Rivera; sister, Timmy (Tim) Bundy; nieces, Holly McCoy and Kaycie (Shawn) Laughner; nephew, Fred Weisheit; along with several other nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents Rob is preceded in death by the love of his life for 38 years wife, Jama Wisehart.

Services will be at 4:00 pm on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle. Burial will follow at Green Hills Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 2:00 pm until the time of the service. You may share a memory or express a condolence for Rob at www.hinsey-brown.com.
