Ron Orr

Ron Orr, 45, of Kennard, passed away Saturday, September 9, 2017 at Eskenazi Hospital following an unexpected illness. He was born May 24, 1972 the son of Herman “Red” Orr and Edith Roll Calciano.

Ron was a loving son, father, brother, and uncle. He attended Knightstown High School and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He loved off road wheeling, mud bogging and tinkering on his off road truck and other vehicles. Ron worked for Wheelers Towing and enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his mother, Edith (Roll) and step-father, Riggie Calciano of Kennard; sister, Elly (Orr) Keck of Kennard; step-brothers, Nathan, Shaylon and Dustin Calciano; son, Seth (Orr) Cunningham; daughter, Mackenzie Orr; step children, Kaylee and Dakota Lewis; half brother Charles Orr of Anderson; half sister, Marcella Kissinger of Middletown; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Herman “Red” Lee Orr and a sister, Ranee Orr.

Memorial service will be at 7:00 PM Thursday, September 14, 2017 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in Knightstown with Pastor Danny Shelton officiating. Friends may call from 5 PM until time of service. Military rites will be conducted by the Knightstown American Legion Post #152.
