Rose Mary Swim

Rose Mary Swim, 83, of New Castle passed away Sunday, April 10, 2022 at Henry Community Health. She was born July 22, 1938 in Winchester, Indiana, a daughter of the late Arthur Clarence and Helen Marie (Taylor) Ward.

Rose was a 1956 graduate of Washington Township Lynn High School. She then married, Samuel William Swim on October 12, 1963. Rose had a passion for crochet, needlepoint and cake decorating. She volunteered at Henry Community Health and was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church. Rose loved her friends and family, especially her grandchildren.

Survivors include her children, Lisa Killingbeck-Murray of Evansville, Lloyd (Cindy) Killingbeck of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Scott (Julieta) Swim of Dupont, Washington; 9 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; brother, Richard (Gloria) Ward; sister, Joyce Roda; several nieces & nephews; and a close friend, Ed Walker.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Larry Killingbeck; second husband, Samuel Swim on July 21, 2005; daughter, Helen Killingbeck-Wilson; and siblings, Homer, Harry, Robert, Ilene and Bruce.

Graveside services will be 1:00 P.M. Monday, April 18, 2022 at South Mound Cemetery, West Lawn Addition in New Castle. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle. You may express condolences or share a memory of Rose at www.hinsey-brown.com .
