Sharon Logan Taylor

Sharon E. Logan Taylor, 58, of New Castle died Saturday, September 20, 2008 at her residence. She was born December 28, 1949 in New Castle the daughter of the late Burgess Emory and Esther Flourine (Hay) Logan.

She attended Chrysler High School and had lived the majority of her life in New Castle. Sharon had been a grill cook at various local restaurants including Stop 3 Truck Plaza, The Maxwell House, The Village Inn and Bills Diner. She enjoyed her five grandsons, family picnics, reading and country music. She attended Sunnyside Church of God.

Survivors include one son: Shane A. (wife: Kari) Foster of Kankakee, Illinois; two daughters: Regina (husband: Terry) Stinson and Jessica (husband: Michael) Ried, both of New Castle; two sisters: Lou Pike of Lansing, Illinois and Carol Logan of New Castle; four brothers: Warren Logan, Harold (wife: Karen) Logan, both of New Castle, Wayne (wife: Becky) Logan of Spiceland and Kevin (wife: Dawn) Logan of Ft. Wayne; step-mother: Arlene Logan; two step-brothers; five grandsons: Samuel & Maxwell Foster, Joshua Stinson, Lance Thompson and Dylan Ried; and several nieces, nephews & cousins.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a nephew: Dennis Logan.

Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 24, 2008 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Pastor Jeff Green officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hills Memory Gardens.
