February 6, 1945 — December 7, 2025

Knightstown

Sharron Kay Maloyed, 80, of Knightstown, went home to be with the Lord, surrounded by her family, on Sunday, December 7, 2025, at Glen Oaks. She was born February 6, 1945, in New Castle to the late Leland “Deed” and Ruth (Margison) Harding.

Sharron was raised in Spiceland and graduated from Spiceland High School, Class of 1963. She married her high school sweetheart, Junior Maloyed on June 1, 1963. Her life never wavered these 59 years serving God as a Pastor’s wife, Sunday School teacher, VBS Director, Kindergarten teacher and more. She was a member of the Knightstown Bethel Holiness Church. Sharron’s home was always inviting and full of laughter and fun for everyone who entered. She was a wonderful cook and many have been fully satisfied sitting at her table.

Sharron’s greatest joy was her family whom she loved deeply. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her husband of over 62 years, Junior Maloyed of Knightstown; son, Rick (Anita) Maloyed of Beavertown, PA; daughters, Cathy (John) Gilley and Cindy (Stephen) Davis, both of Knightstown; eight wonderful grandchildren, Matthew (Christina) Maloyed of Hobe Sound, FL, Michael Maloyed (fiancé, Bri) of Middleburg, PA, Carissa (Taylor) Holsapple of Greenfield, Craig (MaKayla) Davis of Mahaffey, PA, Lynnette (Nick) Rine of Beavertown, PA, Curk (Katie) Davis of Frankfort, KY, Shyann Gilley of Knightstown, Cade (Marissa) Davis of Mifflinburg, PA; and precious great grandchildren, Chasity, Drew, Cole, and Ava Maloyed of Hobe Sound, FL, Atalie Maloyed of Middleburg, PA, Carter and Kaylee Holsapple of Greenfield, Stetson Davis and one coming in June 2026 of Mahaffey, PA, Savannah Rine of Beavertown, PA, Sage, Kai, Hazel, Ava, Grayson, and Ellie Rae of Frankfort, KY, Olivia Davis of Mifflinburg, PA; three sisters-in-law, Carolyn Harding, Sandra (Rick) Shelton, and Judy (Ron) DeWitt; two brothers-in-law, Randy (Brenda) Maloyed and Max (Becky) Maloyed and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.
