Stanton Joe Briner

Stan Briner, 81, of Daytona Beach, FL, passed away September 25, 2026. He passed away peacefully at Halifax Hospital following a brief illness. He was born August 8, 1945, in New Castle, Indiana. He was the son of the late Paul and Edna (White) Briner.

Mr. Briner was retired from the Postal Service, retiring in 2000 from the Muncie office after 32 years of service. He was a Vietnam Veteran, serving in the United States Army from 1966 through 1970.

He has survived by his wife, Annie, whom he married in 2020. He is also survived by his children, Amy Briner and Joe Briner; sister, Rose Lowe; and three grandchildren, Dominic Smith, Victoria Smith, and Alec Smith.

In addition to his parents, Stan was preceded in death by his brother, Pete Briner.

Services will be at 1:00pm on Friday, October 2, 2026, at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle. Burial will follow at Sugar Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:30pm until the time of the service.
