September 19, 1942 – April 13, 2026
Stephen Michael Huse, 83, of New Castle, Indiana, was welcomed into the arms of his Savior on April 13, 2026. He leaves behind a lasting legacy of dedication, compassion, and the lives he touched with his warm smile and loving heart.
Stephen graduated from Lewisville High School and went on to build a strong work ethic throughout his life. He devoted 14 years of service to Chrysler and later found great fulfillment in his work with Cashdollar Softwater, where his passion for helping others truly shined.
In his earlier years, Stephen was a skilled and accomplished bowler, a pastime he greatly enjoyed. A man of simple joys and deep faith, he was a devoted member of Foursquare Gospel Church, where he also served as a janitor. He found comfort, purpose, and fellowship among his church family. Those who knew Stephen will remember him as a meek and gentle soul whose quiet intelligence, deep sense of peace, and thoughtful wisdom touched everyone around him.
Stephen had a love for animals, especially horses, and found joy in country and gospel music. He also enjoyed watching baseball and basketball. In his quieter moments, he cherished his morning coffee, reading the newspaper, and sitting on the porch, taking in the beauty of the day. His calm presence and kind heart brought comfort to all who had the privilege of knowing him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Evan Huse and Mary Ellen “Vaughn” Huse; his son, Charles “Chuck” Michael Huse; and his wife, Mary “Hoots” Huse.
Stephen’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. He will be deeply missed.
