Steve Alan Zeilinga, 63, of Carthage, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, August 22, 2021. He was born May 26, 1958 in Indianapolis, the son of Edward and Velma (DeRee) Zeilinga.
Steve served in the U.S. Army and presently worked in maintenance at IAF in Greenfield. He was an avid hunter and NASCAR fan. Steve was a well loved man and enjoyed meeting new people from every aspect of his life while maintaining old friendships from childhood. He especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Steve will be sorely missed by his family and many, many friends.
Steve is survived by his wife, Kelli Zeilinga of Carthage; son, John (Janelle) Rowe; daughter, Jessica (Michael) Bennett; step daughter, Brittany Richardson; grandchildren, Kilee, Makenzie, Easton, Taylor, Jaden, Dyllan, Danika, Braylei and Xaveri; siblings, Marvin Zeilinga, Tina (Jerry) Wise, Angela Richardson, Russell Richardson, John L. Zeilinga, Sr. and Bill Klepper; many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Stephen Zeilinga; brothers, John E. Zeilinga and Joseph Richardson.
Services will be at 6:00 PM Friday, August 27, 2021 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service Knightstown Chapel. Visitation will be from 4-6 PM prior to the service.
