Tina Joy Grenard

Tina Joy Grenard, age 46, of North York, Ontario, Canada, and most recently residing in Lafayette, Indiana, passed away on July 25, 2026.

She was the cherished wife of Jeromy Grenard for more than 25 blessed years and the loving mother of six beautiful children: Jaden, Sienna, Bailey, Aleah, Paisley, and Colton. Tina was preceded in death by her father, Gary Henry. She is survived by her mother, Donna Henry, her siblings, Troy Henry (Joanne) and Tonya Wright (Chris), as well as her siblings-in-law, Cindi Rathburn (Ryan) and Jerod Grenard. She is also survived by many beloved nephews and a niece: Noah and Gauge Rathburn, Kevin and Kaitlyn Henry, and Hudson and Hendrix Wright.

Tina was born on July 8, 1980, at North York General Hospital in the Toronto area of Ontario, Canada. The oldest of three children, she spent much of her childhood in Whitby, Ontario. A strong student and proud honor student, she graduated from Henry Street High School in 1998. In 1999, she moved to the United States to continue her studies at Indiana Bible College, where she met the love of her life, Jeromy Grenard. They were married on November 11, 2000, and shared 25 wonderful years together, filled with love, faith, and devotion.

Tina and Jeromy were blessed with six amazing children, including two they adopted, and they also opened their home and hearts to more than 30 foster children over the years. Her influence in raising and shaping the next generation was immeasurable, and the impact she made as a mother will continue for years to come.

In her early years in Canada, Tina was a bright and hardworking student who loved to read, often spending her time with Nancy Drew books or any other good book she could find. She began working at the age of 10 as a newspaper carrier and later worked as a babysitter and Dairy Queen supervisor. After moving to Indiana, she worked as a dental surgery assistant before eventually embracing her lifelong role as a homemaker. She also served as the primary teacher for her children throughout their elementary and secondary school years.

Tina was a gifted planner and multitasker, always juggling what seemed like a thousand responsibilities at once. Even while undergoing chemotherapy during the final year of her life, she remained committed to her children’s education, diligently marking assignments and grading tests on her tablet from the hospital.

She was the heart of her home and a pillar of her church at Apostolic Tabernacle under Pastor James Jones. Tina devoted her life to being a loving wife, mother, teacher, homemaker, and servant of the Lord. She had a remarkable gift for connecting with people and a natural ability to inspire action. She witnessed faithfully to strangers young and old, sharing her love for God wherever she went. Though she had an adventurous spirit, her greatest joy was always found in spending time with her family and church family.

Tina will be remembered for her over-the-top themed parties, her grand Thanksgiving dinners that could feed multitudes, and the way she consistently put the needs of others before her own. She truly lived out the saying, “If you want something done, ask a busy person.”

Competitive from childhood, especially in board and card games, Tina loved creating opportunities for family connection. Rather than relying on television or technology, she spent countless hours at the family dinner table playing games with her children, helping to develop their minds while making memories that will last a lifetime.

She had a warm, take-charge spirit at times, something her younger sister and children would surely confirm, but her "encouragement" always led to action and accomplishment. Tina did not simply talk about what needed to be done; she lived it out. Her passion for her family was evident to all, but her passion for her church and her faith was second to none.

Her faith never wavered, even after her colon cancer diagnosis and the steep decline in her health that followed. She never complained or questioned God as to why this happened to her. She was a true testimony of what it means to be a Christian. Tina was a blessing to everyone who knew her, and although her life feels far too short, we are deeply thankful for the time we were given with her.

Services will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, August 3, 2026 at Apostolic Tabernacle Church in Lafayette, Indiana with Pastor James Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Stingley Cemetery. Visitation will be at 11:00 am until the time of the service on Monday.
