Tracy French Ogle, 50, of Muncie, passed away Thursday, June 28, 2018, while surrounded by her family at St. Vincent Hospital following an extended illness. She was born October 1, 1967 in Evansville, to Ben and Pat (Boss) French.
She was a 1986 graduate of Blue River Valley High School. A natural athlete, she played varsity basketball and volleyball and was inducted into the BRV Hall of Fame. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Ball State University, and her Master’s degree from Olivet Nazarene University.
Tracy taught 6th grade at Blue River for over 20 years. She loved her students, and they loved her. She was a member of Tri Kappa and Mt. Summit Christian Church. An avid quilter, she very much enjoyed the Quilting Posse from Muncie. Her entire family and all her friends were very important to her.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Doug Ogle of Muncie; two daughters, Emily (David) Whitenack of Jacksonville, FL and Allison Sabo of Bloomington; a son, Matthew Sabo of Ft. Wayne; stepchildren, Mark Ogle of Indianapolis, Lauren Ogle and Sarah Ogle, both of Muncie; her parents, Ben and Pat French of Mt. Summit; a sister, Kristi (Scott) Williams of Fishers, and a brother, Chris French of Indianapolis; her paternal grandparents, David and Yvonne French of Springport; several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Charles Boss and Jean Dawson and her paternal grandmother, Mary Jane (Razor) French.
Services will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, July 2, 2018 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with Rev. Ben Brandt officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Summit Cemetery.
