Vickie Lynn Clark

Vickie Lynn Clark passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 27, with her daughter Mandi by her side, after a ten-year journey with Alzheimer’s. She was 75.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years, David; her daughter, Mandi Browning (Michael); her sister, Anita Workman (Bob); her brother, Ron Seibel (Leslie); her three nephews, Ryan Workman, Phillip Seibel & Geoff Seibel, her niece, Krystal Williamson, and her five grandchildren, Rocco, Michael Katherine, Gus, Gage, and Talulah. She was preceded in death by her and David's beloved son, Derek, her sister-in-law, Leslie Seibel, and her parents, Harold and Dorothy Seibel.

Vickie was a 1969 graduate of Greensburg High School, she earned her bachelor’s degree from Indiana State University and her master’s in education from Ball State University, and she taught at Hagerstown and New Castle Middle School and retired in 2011.

Vickie spent her life dedicated to teaching and service. She was a passionate junior high school math teacher who believed deeply in the potential of every student. On Sundays, she brought the same warmth and dedication to her role as a Sunday school teacher, helping to guide and uplift young hearts.

Those who knew Vickie will remember her enormous kindness and gentle spirit. She had a kind word for everyone and carried herself with quiet strength, compassion, and grace. Her legacy of love, learning, and faith lives on in the many lives she touched. She will be missed beyond words.

Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, July 31, 2025 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle. Burial will follow at South Mound Cemetery-West Lawn Addition. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Derek F.
