Virginia L. Williamson

Virginia L. Williamson, 70, of Middletown, passed away on July 14, 2026 at The Waters of Middletown. She was born in Mansfield, OH, to the late Donald and Betty (Baldwin) Fisher.

Virginia was a 1976 graduate of Mansfield Senior High School in Ohio and she also attended the Indiana School for the Deaf. Her childhood best friend, Karen, fondly remembers the times they spent together with her children at the fair and shopping.

Throughout her life, Virginia dedicated herself to her family. As a homemaker, she cared for her loved ones and daily would cook meals for them. Her grandson Onyx was a particular joy in her life. Virginia treasured every moment spent with him. The love she extended to her family also embraced the pets in her life—she was especially fond of her cats.

Virginia was a passionate Dallas Cowboys fan and she enjoyed watching television, especially the action-filled films and shows starring Jackie Chan. Music was another source of happiness for her; although she couldn’t hear the music, she could feel the beat and rhythm and especially enjoyed the Eagles and Fleetwood Mac.

Virginia was a devoted Christian, kind, and caring. She was a sweetheart, steadfast and loving even in the face of adversity. Life presented Virginia with many challenges, but she faced each one with courage and resilience.

Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Ricky Williamson; her grandson, Onyx Williamson; and her lifelong and best childhood friend, Karen Swinning.

In addition to her parents, Virginia was preceded in death by her loving husband, Richard Williamson; and her siblings, Teena Hauser and Donald Fisher Jr.
