Wallace "Wally" Gene Hoover

Wallace "Wally" Gene Hoover, 72, of New Castle, peacefully passed away on June 14, 2026. He was born in Clinton County, KY to the late Harlan and Donreta (Gibson) Hoover.

Wally was a lifelong resident of New Castle and a proud graduate of New Castle Chrysler High School. Wally loved his family dearly. He cared deeply for his parents and was a constant presence in their lives. His generosity extended beyond his family; Wally was always ready to lend a hand to anyone in need, often shoveling walks for the elderly neighbors.

Wally had a passion for art and free hand drawing. He also enjoyed woodworking and creating beautiful pieces for friends and family members.

Wally leaves to cherish his memory a large extended family of cousins, nieces, nephews, a brother-in-law, and an uncle.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Thurston.

Services will be held at 12:30pm on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service in New Castle with pastor Jeff Jaco officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00am until the time of the service on Saturday.
