William “Bill” M. Thrall, Jr., 81, of Spiceland passed away Sunday, August 7, 2022 at IU Health Ball Hospital. He was born March 6, 1941 in Rushville to the late William W. Sr., and Mildred (Gardner) Thrall.
Bill attended Rushville High School then joined the U.S. Army. He worked at Ingersoll Steel in New Castle for many years, Detroit Steel in Morristown then later retired from INTAT in Rushville. He enjoyed camping and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his wife, Rosella Thrall; children, Willa (Dave) Marshall, Bill Thrall, Rick Thrall (Rene Raines); grandchildren, Heather (Dan) Baker, Jennifer (Joe) Mann, Krysten (Luke) Halcomb, Jason (Abby) Marshall and Tracy (Amber) Raines; great grandchildren, Bryant, Charleigh, Evelyn, David, Tommy, Kennedy and Peyton and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by 2 brothers and 2 sisters.
A Mass of Christian burial will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 12, 2022 at St. Anne Catholic Church with Father John Hall officiating. Burial will follow at Circle Grove Cemetery in Spiceland. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the time of the service on Friday at the church. Military honors will be provided by contingents from the New Castle American Legion, VFW and US Army.
