William “Bill” M. Brown, 81, of New Castle passed away Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at Stonebrooke Rehabilitation Center. He was born January 2, 1933 in Hagerstown the son of Harlan and Lena Brown.
Bill was a graduate of Hagerstown High School and later served with the U.S. Army. He retired from Dana Corporation in 1992 and had been active with Henry County 4-H most of his life where he raised and showed pigs. Bill was an avid gardener and loved sharing his crop with everyone.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Ivorine “Starr” Brown of New Castle; children, Kevin Brown of Avon, Dawn (Al) Mihic of Middletown; son in law, Jeff Riesden of Middletown; 6 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; 1 great great granddaughter; siblings, Janet Pope of Hagerstown, Richard Brown of New Castle; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Venus Riesden; and 10 brothers and sisters.
