William "Jack" Shore

William Jackson “Jack” Shore, 93, of Knightstown, passed away Tuesday, November 20, 2018 at Glen Oaks Health Campus. He was born June 15, 1925 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina the son of Betty Shore.

Jack was a heavy equipment operator, business manager and president of Local 103 for many years. He was a veteran of the U.S Army serving during World War II where he received 5 Bronze Medals, a Victory Medal and a Purple Heart. Jack was a member of the Knightstown American Legion Post #152 and Masonic Lodge Golden Rule #16. He attended Faith Chapel Church, enjoyed woodworking, was funny and had a good sense of humor. Jack spent the winters in Dundee, FL where he attended Baptist Temple Church.

He is survived by a daughter-in-law, Cindy Shore of Indianapolis; sisters-in-law, Connie Caudill of New Castle, Susan Caudill of Louisville, KY, and Anna (Maurice) Lewman of Knightstown; brother-in-law, Isaac (Richilieu) Caudill of Winchester, KY; special cousins, Lee Shore and Judy Zachary of Yadkinville, NC; special friend, Leda Harper of Dundee, FL; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Anetia (Caudill) Shore; and a son, Roger Shore.

Services will be at 1:00 PM Monday, November 26, 2018 at Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service, Knightstown Chapel with Pastors Randy Gross and Eric Boling officiating. Military rites will be conducted by the Knightstown American Legion Post #152 and the US Army. Burial will follow in Glen Cove Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 11 AM until time of service. Masonic Rites will be conducted at 1:00PM Monday. Memorial contributions may be given to the Knightstown American Legion Post #152, 224 E. Main St. Knightstown, IN 46148.
